I soft wash, which means low pressure and a detergent that kills what is growing instead of blasting it off. How long does a house wash take?
About an hour for a typical single story home. Two stories or heavy staining pushes it to two or three hours. It is a same day job either way.
How much does it cost?
It starts at $300 for a standard single story house. Size, height and how much buildup there is move the number, which is why I quote from photos instead of guessing on the phone.
Will it damage my plants?
No. Every bed gets soaked with plain water before anything else touches the wall and rinsed again after. The detergent is diluted for the surface and the water carries it off before it can sit on a root.
Will soft washing strip my paint?
Low pressure will not lift sound paint. If paint is already failing, chalking or peeling, a wash can expose that, and I will tell you before I start rather than after.
How often should a house in Florida be washed?
Once a year for most homes. Under heavy tree cover or on the shaded north side you may want it more often, and most of my customers end up on a yearly rhythm.
Do you wash homes near the beach?
Yes. Jacksonville Beach, Neptune, Atlantic Beach and Ponte Vedra are all inside my area. Salt air adds a film that plain rain never rinses off, so beachside homes usually need the wash more, not less.
